A Weekend of Dates

This weekend Kurt and I have had so many fun dates! It's been wonderful to have weekend where he isn't working and we're both home.

Friday we went to dinner at Fratesi's, a kind of hole-in-the-wall Italian place minutes from our house. We had never been, and it was delicious! We were a bit rushed, because we were going to see:

This movie was INCREDIBLE! There is literally something in it that applies to every marriage. I was just really impressed with the storyline and how well it was done. I am praying that more films like this are made; Christians are craving it! Go see it and support this film!

Today we were supposed to have our pictures taken, but we changed our time to tomorrow. We ended up sleeping in and then decided to take a field trip to the pumpkin patch! At first I wondered if we would feel out of place because we were the only ones there without kids, but we definitely had the most stress-free time of anyone! Next year Evy will be 8 months old (wow), so this was our pre-baby trip :o) We loved it!

It's been a fabulous weekend....dating shouldn't stop just because you're married! :o)

Ok, I've been sick with the flu and missed a lot. First: Love this last picture of you and Kurt (too cute!) Second: Love Audrey Hepburn. I have B@Tiffany's and Roman Holliday, but not this one. I am so jealous of the wardrobe's she has had the chance to wear. And the hats...don't get me started. (I'm slightly obsessed with hats!) Third: I've never heard of "Sight and Sound," but if Strasburg,PA is any where close to us...we are going. I've been talking to the kids about the creation story this week. I'll have to share my craft book on my blog soon. Fourth: I loved Phantom too. I saw it on Broadway, but was dissapointed. I know it's b/c I had built it up so much in my mind, and memorized every nuance of the original cast CD. And let's face it, it is hard to measure up to Sara Brightman and Michael Crawford. It didn't help that the night I saw it, there were 6 understudies (one being in the part of Christine.) Even though the movie's music is not the same, I love the acting and the visual aspect of it all. And last but, not least...where did you get the awesome center-piece. I love the pumpkins! Ok, now that I wrote my own post to comment your post...I'll go now. ~Blessings!

Sound like such a fun weekend! David and I have been wanting to try Fratesi's, and we want to see Fireproof too. We may have to copy your date. If we ever get to leave the baby for that long I mean... haha.

Love this post! Keep dating...even AFTER Evy arrives. You will need it more than ever (make sure Kurt reads that part). Oh and tell Kurt...like the "flexing pose" with the pumpkin---had to pick a little bit!
