I can't believe that Evy is 3 weeks old today...in a lot of ways, it feels like 3 years! The sleeping situation is still brutal (there's no other way to put it), and I miss my mother more than anything! Kurt just left to go on call all night, so this is the first time that I am truly, 100% by myself. I have shed tears and given myself pep talks all day. However, I have noticed that with all of the stress of a new baby, two things have improved: my marriage and my Bible reading time. I have felt closer to Kurt and more in love with him since the baby than I ever thought possible. I actually expected to be grumpy and short-tempered once the baby came, but Kurt and I have really soothed each other. I am so beyond thankful for this. Also, I have felt an urge to read my Bible (I'm doing it chronologically, for my 101 in 1001) more than ever. I think it's also soothing to me. When I have time, I work on my Beth Moore study as well. I'm stating the obvious, but it's a much better use of time than TV or magazines (although I have allowed myself to watch and read on occasion!).
I covet your prayers as we work out the sleeping situation. It's hard for anyone with a newborn, but with Kurt's job being so demanding right now (on top of work, he has a huge test coming up March 7), I'm really pulling the weight so he can focus on that. I have to tell him not to help me so much so that he can get things done for himself!! We will definitely make it, and I'm praising the Lord that we have a healthy child. We had a recent health scare with a family member, and it put a lot of things in perspective for me. God is good and will give me the strength I need. I'm just taking one day at a time....so if you think of our little family, we would appreciate your prayers!
We love and thank the Lord for our precious Evy :o)

Lovely to see your precious little one growing :)
Hugs and prayers for sleep for everyone!
I remember when my dh went back to working nights in the hospital - not fun, and me trying to do it all so he can sleep/study.
Take care.
I love all of the bows! Such a little girlie girl! :)
