Shot Survival

Well, we survived our first round of shots.

We were just not happy about things :o( Even our sparkly bandaids didn't help.

While stretching in our bouncy seat, we were still irritated by the whole experience.

....Until we fell asleep.

But Daddy always makes me feel better!

On the bright side, we have a growing girl! She weighed in at 10 pounds, 12 ounces :o) I did tear up during the shots, but didn't blubber, which I thought was good. It was WONDERFUL to have Kurt there! You have to have moral support at doctor's appointments I've decided. We won't have another round of shots until early June, when Baby is 4 months old. You've probably noticed that I have a million nicknames for her. I used to call Doris Bitson (I come up with weird names), and now that she's gone, I can't help but call Evy that too (but I'm the only one who can call her that...otherwise it would be weird)! It just comes naturally! So Doris was the original, and now I have a new little Bitson. :o)

Have a great evening...

She definitely does not look impressed!

Whenever possible I get my dh to come along too.

Shots never get easy!! I STILL feel sick before and after, not because of the needles or anything, I just hate knowing that it is hurting my children. I am so glad that Kurt could be there!! Moral support is wonderful!!

Laura Grace had several pet names that I laugh at now. How can you resist calling such sweet babies silly names?!? She is precious in that outfit by the way!!

Oh my goodness, look at that sparkly band aid. :) And the frowny face of unpleasantness, through it all she is just a doll.

I'm glad you managed to get through as well!

Where did Bitson come from? Just a fun name? By the way, thanks so much for finding out about the baby apparral; I'm suprised you remembered!

It started out as Two Bit or Little Bit...and I tend to add "son" to the end of everything. For instance, I call Kurt "Burtson." So Bitson just naturally comes out of my mouth :o) Oh, and Sarah...they sell Taggies at Dillards! Saw them today!

Oops, I mean Sarah Denley....I don't want to shorten your double name!

Haha; it's okay! I guess you read that in my "25 things" post (that was such a fun one)! I usually introduce myself by saying "I'm Sarah Denley--it's a double name". It is hilarious how many nicknames we've already come up with for Ann Peyton (Peyton calls her Annie P) and she's not even here yet! And we saw the Taggies at Dillards, too, but I ended up ordering them; they were having a sale on the website :)

I just wanted to say THANK YOU for the baby announcement. It is beautiful!!! Laura Grace has claimed it has hers-she is baby obsessed right now and she thought Evy was precious.

Kelly told me about your blog! I LOVE your grandfather. I went to UBC for 10 years and met my husband there. Tell you grandfather, Laurie Delezen says "hello." Your baby has the most beautiful blue eyes.
