Thank Goodness....

...There's a new Duggar episode coming on tonight! After watching the excruciating season premiere of Jon and Kate + 8, I am anxiously awaiting the smiles and harmony of the Duggar family. I know no family is perfect, but the Lord is so clearly at the center of the Duggar's lives. How refreshing.

There's so much I could say about last night's episode. It was strained, tense, and so hard to watch. I want to grab those children and just love love love on them. Jon just seemed cold and removed from the whole thing. Kate has her issues too, but at least she made herself a tiny bit vulnerable---and cried. I wanted to cry too. What started out as one of my favorite shows on television now just breaks my heart. It's a reminder to me that marriage takes work, and nothing is worth the expense of your marriage and family. Let's all hug our spouses extra today, shall we?

Well, honestly, I wanted to smack Kate when she started crying and said "Sorry, I don't want to mess up my makeup." I mean, I think talking about your family falling apart is worth messing up your makeup over. I just feel like that sums up how much she's changed. I need to work on being more compassionate though, because it really is a heartbreaking situation.

I know exactly what you mean! I hadn't watched any of season 4, so I couldn't stop watching this weekend (like watching a car wreck). As I watched, I saw a family fall apart. You could literally see them stop being parents and start to be money hungry celebrities. It is so sad to see what happens whens money is worshiped over God. They are an extreme case but generally this is what is happening all over America!! They need to stop that show and focus on their marriage, and family.

That show broke my heart as well. I tried to send them an email but it came back saying their box was full. I just think it would be so great if christians came together to send them messages saying they were praying for them. I can't imagine what they go through everyday but I do know they have let satan win in their marriage and they need encouragement from other christians! So sad for that family!

That episode broke my heart! I feel so bad for the children and for their marriage. It seems like they don't want to work on it or try anything but of course that's what the tv show probably wants us to believe. I think it also shows that we as women should respect our husbands and our husbands should love and respect us also. It's nice to remember those vows that we all took on that special day.

I used to love Jon and kate, but I am giving up on them. I think the recording will stop .....they need to work a little harder I believe. Fame and fourtune got in the way of family and God I believe

I felt the exact same way...not sure I can keep watching. I have been praying that God would heal their hearts and marriage. Just sad. And I did cry watching it. The Duggers is my new fave. It reminds me of the way I was raised...but with only 6 kids, instead of 18. LOL
