Happy Father's Day (and a Mother's Day note)!

To Dad--
Thank you for your integrity, love, and constant support ever since I was born. I have never questioned that I was (and am) a high priority in your life. You take me seriously, which I really appreciate, and you provide the wisest counsel I can find. Thank you for being the best daddy in the world! I am honored to be your daughter! I love you!

(I didn't get to write about my mom on Mother's Day, so this is for her):
Mom---
You are and always have been my number one example of a godly, loving, and all-around fun wife and mom! I am learning from the very best when it comes to raising children. I so appreciate the way you intentionally loved us and constantly told us so (and still do!). I never wondered as a child if my mom loved me, or if she would show up at a school assembly or recital. You were always there (you too, Dad!). I am honored to try and continue your legacy. And I hope Evy (and the rest of my children) remember me singing to them constantly, just as you always sang to us throughout the day. It made for such a happy home--thank you! I love you!

And to Kurt---
Happy first Father's Day! Even though we are traveling back to Jackson today, I hope you know how special you are. You are a wonderful father to Evy Kate; I can tell she already adores you. Thank you for rejecting passivity in so many ways and stepping up as a leader in our home. I can't wait to continue raising a family with you---I know we have so much ahead! You are my best friend; thank you for being an "0ld soul" with me and watching the classic movies, listening to the old music, and just being a homebody with me. I love these times that we're in, and I don't want to take it for granted! You will only continue to grow as a father, and I am so excited that we're a family. I love you!
