-You are able to wear clip-in bows now! Your little hair is growing so quickly on top. We still have a bald spot in the back, but that's okay :o)
-You are going to bed around 9 pm every night with little to no fussing---good girl! Sometimes you still wake up for a middle-of-the-night or early morning feeding, but you go right back to sleep and don't want to start the day until around 9 am (which is totally okay with Mommy!).
-We have tried a little bit of rice cereal, but you're not too crazy about it. We're taking it slowly!
-You rolled over for the first time on June 24th. Daddy was on call but was on the phone when it happened! You haven't really done it since, so we think you're just enjoying being on your back and you don't see a point to roll over. It's okay, grown-ups don't roll over very often. It's not a skill that is required for the future :o)
-You tell Daddy all the time that you want to go to Disney World as soon and as often as possible. Well, Mommy speaks for you, but that's definitely what you're wanting, she can tell.
-You are talking a lot, when the mood strikes you.
-You love to be on your back on your little play mat and look at the mirror. You love your yellow squeaky toy (that was Mommy's!), and your little butterfly that you LOVE to teeth on.
-Speaking of, you are showing early signs of teething, but have not cut a tooth yet.
-You have decided that yes, you'll take a paci, thank you very much. It only took about 4 1/2 months, but you decided that a paci would benefit your life. We're very glad that you reconsidered.
-You still nap in your swing for the most part, but we've been doing several naps a week in your crib. See, it's not so bad!
-You love to pull covers over your head when you're working yourself to sleep. It's so funny!
-You are a HUGE smiler---if you're in the mood (which you almost always are), you'll smile at anyone who smiles at you!
-We took our first major trip to Texas, and you did NOT enjoy driving for that long. Once we were there, you did fine. But driving just isn't your favorite thing right now. You loved spending time with your extended family---and they loved you too!
-Mommy turned 24 and Daddy turned 29 this month. Mommy and Daddy also celebrated being married for 2 years! Not huge milestones for you, but it's nice to commemorate :o)
-You are really enjoying Baby Einstein DVD's. We bought you a new one because we could sing all of the "Baby Beethoven" songs. You are now the proud owner of "Baby Neptune," which shows different images of water and is set to Handel's "Water Music." Daddy thinks they should announce a 2-minute warning when the video is about to be over so parents can wrap up what they were doing. :o)
-We love you more and more every day, Evy Katey. You are just the most precious little life that we have ever encountered, and we are privileged to be your parents. These 5 months have flown by, but we've tried our very best to soak in every minute. God is so gracious to our family, and we are truly receiving "one gracious blessing after another" (John 1:16) from Him, especially you, precious girl. We love you!

catching up on the blog reading...you crack me up--"you tell Daddy you want to go to Disney". We were actually talking about when we should go on the drive to Charleston. Whenever it is, you are planning our trip, haha!
