I always tend to change my mantel after the holidays. I shopped my house and this is what I came up with:

The only thing new was the cherub, which I bought in Dallas over Christmas ($7 in an after-Christmas sale!). This mantel would probably be titled, "Ashley loves crowns." Or "Renaissance-Styled Crowns and Cherubs." Yes, I like that title better.

Evy has been up to all sorts of things lately. Remember how Kurt mentioned that she's his little helper and buddy? Here's the proof:

We reached a milestone! Evy can now walk while pushing her baby stroller. {P.S. I think it's absolutely precious that little girl toys are geared toward nurturing and being a mommy. Just precious.}

She's now starting to even let go of things and balance while standing. It won't be long til we're walking!

Finally, Evy is really figuring out the world of food. Lately, I had a carton of Goldfish nearby, and she discovered that through that opening in the top of the carton, there are a TON of Goldfish just waiting to be eaten. Please watch this progression:
The Discovery:

Going for it.

This says it all.

Hope you're having a great week!

Hi Ashley - I have been reading your blog for a while and I wanted to ask you a question. I am not able to access your e-mail address. Would you ever e-mail me- zoefeher@cox.net - www.thefeherfamily.blogspot.com
Thank you!

Is that a Goldfish hanging out of her mouth? LOVE IT!
What a good little helper with gorgeous blue eyes!!
Evy never disappoints in the cuteness department! I just LOVE that you were able to catch the "goldfish incident" on camera!!
The Evy pictures are so sweet! Those goldfish pictures are my fave.
Your hous is always so beautiful :) and so is Evy!
Evy is so precious and beautiful. Seeing the great pictures of her reminds me of the those precious moments when my girls were that age. So much fun, so much joy. Thank you for sharing.
Your mantle is beautiful.
I'm cracking up about the goldfish too.
Yum! Goldfish! Those pictures are too cute. I always think your mantle looks so pretty...love what you've done now. You will love Renaissance downtown Cape...looks just like the store for you! Do you like Vera Bradley?
Love the rolld on the thighs--see they are cute!!
The mantle looks awesome! I agree though...once the Christmas decor is down, my house looks so blah and empty and needs a few facelifts here and there - I'm working on it! Evy is too cute - I love her outfit. It's always nice to be in style while you munch on goldfish!
unfortunately, I eat just as many goldfish as my kids...
I love those chunky thighs!! All of mine had/have thunderthighs as babies and it is precious.
Where did you get that large L? I really like how it looks next to the mirror... the mantle is beautiful!
Sweet little Evy, love the goldfish pic! I've also been working on my mantle...it seems so sad without all the decorations:(. Yours looks great...love that you too have a toy corner!
That blue outfit is just TOO precious! And I love the mantel also!
We've already cleared our "toy corner" in preparation :) Love the goldfish sequence. Pam says she's predicted Evy'll be walking by the shower!
I've missed your blog just a few times because I have been busy, but I just love catching up. It's like afternoon reading for me. So great :)
Oh Evy looks adorable! Congratulations on achieving the milestone! It would be fun to see her antics when she starts walking.
