I created a list of 101 goals to be completed in 1001 days awhile ago. I'm still trying to cross things off and it's going well! My dear friend Lyndsie wrote a post that got me thinking. She wrote a few things that she'd like to do before she dies (whenever that may be) and called it her "Bucket List." I've heard the phrase before, but I've never made a life list like that. Usually my lists consists of shorter-term goals. I tend to be detail-oriented, so my list might seem a little long, but I think it's good to sort out what your big priorities are. So here are some things from my Life List that I want to accomplish before I go Home:
First, here are some of Kurt's:
-Own land out in the country.
-Visit Europe.
-See my grandchildren.
-Celebrate my 50th wedding anniversary.
Here's some things on my list:
-Buy at least one ultrasound machine to give to a crisis pregnancy center (through Project Ultrasound).
-Take my parents on a trip to Europe.
-Take Kurt's parents on a trip to somewhere they've always wanted to go.
-Go on a mission trip as a family.
-Meet the Duggar family.
-Have professional photographs taken that I can't take myself. For instance: I have yet to find a photographer that uses edits, effects, poses, etc. that I can't do/think of/accomplish myself. I wold also like a shoot done of just me. It might sound vain, but I don't care. I think it would be awesome to have my hair and makeup done (again, in a way that I can't do myself) and do a "conceptual" type of shoot--vintage inspired, maybe?
-Design a room/rooms for someone in their home and do a surprise reveal.
-Successfully plan at least one event for my church.
-See and speak to Beth Moore in person.
-Make a substantial financial contribution to a ministry near to our hearts.
-Sponsor a child overseas.
-Give Christmas to a needy family as many times as we are able.
-Visit Greece.
-Visit the Holy Land.
-Spend a good amount of time in France. I've only been on weekends.
-Buy a meaningful, beautiful piece of art that Kurt and I pick out together.
-Have pictures taken of me in my wedding dress in winter.
-Go on a Disney Cruise.
-Hear the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir sing at the Brooklyn Tabernacle.
-Take a trip with my mom and two sisters.
-See the Mormon Tabernacle Choir perform their Christmas program.
-Slow dance with Kurt.
-Give Kurt a surprise trip and not tell him where we're going.
-Pay the expenses for a child to be adopted.
-Teach a Bible study.
-Overcome my fear of singing a solo in church.
-See as many musical theater performances as possible.
-Take Evy (and each of our other children) on a special one-on-one trip when they reach a certain age.
Well, those are some on my list! I might add to it or write another post like this sometime. I read somewhere that you should use this question to compose your list: "If you were given one year to live, what would you do?"
Here's to living life!

I loved this Ashley!!!
Fun post! I love that you want to take a mission trip as a family - my mom, brother and I went to Suriname with Lynwood when I was 17 and it was an incredible experience. It was such a great thing to do as a family and it started my love for travel. Also, I don't think having pictures taken of yourself is vain at all. This is a little TMI, but I had boudoir pictures taken for Chad and gave them as a gift to him on our wedding day. And while it was a gift for him, it ended up being a gift for me too because I had so much freaking fun doing the shoot and it made me feel really good about myself!
I think those are great!
You thought of some great things!
