When we were visiting family in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, we wanted to take advantage of some museums that Evy would like. Our first one was the Dallas Children's Museum. We had a GREAT time together!
| Ready to go! |
| Arriving at the museum. What a big girl! |
| First stop - the fire truck! |
| The Dallas Children's Museum was in the lower-level area of the Science Museum. It was laid out one one level with lots to do. The biggest bonus was that everything was inside! It was blistering hot while we were in Texas, so this was a huge help! |
| Can you spot us? This was one of those special infrared cameras. |
| When Bitty is famous on Broadway, I'll live vicariously through her and visit her in her dressing room. We're obviously practicing for this. :) |
| Can't you just see it now? |
| This was a really neat water area. Evy loved this! |
| This was a "farrming" area. Evy wasn't as impressed with this, but I think a little boy would've loved it! Mental note to bring Liam back! |
| Notice the expression on her face. Not a fan. |
| This was more her speed. The homeliving area! |
| Evy LOVED this. You pushed a button and it made the hot air balloon fly up to the very top of the building! |
| On our way back up to the main Science Museum, we stopped at the mirrors! |
| The three of us! |
When we got back up to the main area, we saw an IMAX movie about dolphins. One of the dolphins was named Jojo and Evy STILL talks about Jojo!
| Evy never falls asleep in the car anymore, but look what happened! We pulled into the garage and I started to take her out of her carseat but then had to take a picture of this sweet face. :) |
| The next day was pretty low-key. But Evy looked adorable as usual! |
| Drawing with Uncle Mike and Aunt Karen (she's my dad's sister)! |
| Evy adored this dry-erase board so much, my aunt ended up letting us take it home! My cousin Emory had it when she was Evy's age, so it's special. :) |
| Evy REALLY got into drawing faces and "letters" (small circles). Also, when she would draw our family, she always drew herself with a large face. My aunt, who majored in Child Development, told us that indicates confidence. That made us all chuckle! |
| So proud! |
Look at the upper-right - that was Evy's first time to draw an "e"!
