Hey Ashley,
You may not remember me, but I'm the one who bought the Beth Moore tickets from you--I'm from the Cape area, and also live in MS. Anyway, I just wanted to say that I think homeschooling is a highly personal decision, and I respect each parent's own decision--I will say, though, that for me, it's the best decision we ever made. I decided to keep my kids home until high school. My oldest is graduating this year from a private Christian school, and my twins will start high school next year. I will miss it so dearly, but I love that I was the one to teach them everything up to this point--including how to read. If you would ever like to ask me any questions about it, I'd be more than happy to answer!
For the record, I'm very curious about why you don't like home church since it's exactly the model we have from the book of Acts. I don't go to one, nor would I choose too, but I guess I don't think it's wrong if one wants too!

I love #5!! That is the way I have tried to approach my life as well...from the time the girls were babies, I determined to absorb every moment with them. I have no regrets and have truly enjoyed every stage. I think this helps me move on as they get older...I have nothing I wish I had done differently, so I can look forward to what comes next.

I'm also pretty pleased with #4! :)

I was just telling my mom the other day that had I been in your position, I absolutely would have chosen an induction/c-section over a natural birth so my husband could be there (duh. wouldn't everyone??). But that said, the risks involved with second, third, and fourth sections are pretty serious. So VBAC is definitely worth the research!

I had to laugh when I read your 10 Honest Things because like you said in the intro, we do have a lot in common :)

You know that I would love to homeschool-Clay is not on board with it so I am still praying that maybe next year he will support it fully instead of just agreeing to it to make me happy. So, yeah...agree with you on that!

I also agree about the Duggars. I would love, love, love to have many more children and raise them in the same godly wisdom as I believe they do. I love Michelle's quiet patience and her organization.

I know I am writing a novel, but one more thing. If at ALL possible I strongly encourage you to try a VBAC.I am glad you are already researching it and praying about it. There is literally not a doctor or hospital here in North Mississippi that will allow it. However, it has been my experience with MY body ( I know everyone is very different) that each section has been much harder. This last one was VERY difficult and I am still dealing with pain and limited activities 10 weeks later. Anyway, I will shut up now :)

Thank you, Ashley! This has come at such a nice time. I needed a little encouragement today. I'm so glad that I've had the opportunity to get to know you, through Kurt and your blog here. I love visiting your blog. You always have something fun and interesting going on, and it's one of the few i check in with everyday. Or at least every time I get on the computer. There are days I just don't, because there's too much going on here at home. But, I love learning new things about you and your writing is always thought provoking and entertaining! I completely agree about the Duggar's. I love them but don't agree with their view on home church. But they are still great!! I wish I despised Diet soda. I drink waaaaaay too much of it!

Okay, by movie (North and South) do you mean miniseries (wink)? I LOVE it! Along the same lines, pertaining to #6--this made me grin so big! I've been thinking about starting a "throwback" blog. Peyton reads "The Art of Manliness"--google it; it's all about being a "gentleman" has a very old fashioned feel and I love it. I emailed the guy to ask him if he knew of one for women and he said no. There are so many vintage blogs, but I want one that is more than just pictures of vintage outfits and stuff!

P.S. the header? did it myself (she says with a nonchalant flip of the hair). All the cool kids are doing it; I think they call it "creative outletting" (wink)...
